Inside Verafind: Kevin Hunt, Acquisition Agent
Q1: What does your role at Verafind involve day-to-day?
Working within Verafind's Agency team, I work at the front end of the land acquisition market, actively engaging investors and developers with immediate opportunities across our live pipeline. I specialise in short-term sites with clear delivery potential of typically 6–12 months, such as consented and brownfield land that remain available beyond our retained client base.
Q2: What’s one challenge you’re helping solve developers?
Many agencies adopt a volume-led approach, presenting a wide range of sites with limited alignment to a developer’s brief. At Verafind, we take a more considered route. We focus on identifying high quality land opportunities that are precisely matched to our clients’ requirements, ensuring a streamlined process without unnecessary complexity or delay.
Q3: What’s one thing about the land market that people often underestimate?
Time is consistently underestimated in the land market.
Transactions rarely move as quickly as expected, and landowners are often surprised by the number of stages involved between agreeing terms and completing a sale. We aim to set clear expectations from the outset, guiding both landowners and buyers through a realistic and structured timeline to ensure certainty at every stage.
Q4: What are you most excited about right now at Verafind?
I'm most expected about the growth of the AgencyTeam. We’re a highly focused team with access to exceptional data and a strong pipeline of high-quality sites. As we expand, we’ll be able to engage more effectively with landowners and developers, unlocking greater value across the market.
